Conspiracies

conspiracy (kən spir’ə sē)  n.  an evil, unlawful, treacherous, or surreptitious plan formulated by two or more persons.

—Webster’s Encyclopedic Unabridged Dictionary

Anyone who says there are no conspiracies needs to remember: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin, et al were all part of a conspiracy to commit treason and overthrow the British government in the Colonies.

Here is a by-no-means-exhaustive partial index of identified plots by the Brain Police and their (oft-unwitting) dupes.  Almost all of them have unusually high fnord counts.  Those with lower counts or which fit into specific categories covered elsewhere can also be found in the Athenĉum at Religion, History, etc.
